Whatsapp working on new feature "Dismiss as Admin" to protect from spammers

whatsapp brings new feature for spam messages
Popular instant messaging platform "WhatsApp" owned by Facebook has kicked off 2018 start with new update that may be a big impact on users and specially spammers.

A twitter handle @WaBetaInfo, fan site that testing new builds and tracks changes in new versions said the new feature should prevent users from spam messages, images, gif's, etc.

Spam messages are those which are used to send single or multiple messages in bulk to list of contacts at a time. WhatsApp's this new feature will enable to users to block annoying spam messages.

"A spammer never sends spam messages to a single contact, but he is used to sending them to multiple users, selecting them in his contacts list, picking these data from the internet or from some registration services. "These messages may contain unwanted advertising and fake news, and they often invite you to forward the message to your contacts," the website said.

Whatsapp added new "Dismiss Admin" message in group chats. Using this option one admin from group can remove another admin from his admin status without knowing them. He still will be in group but can't use admin power.

Currently WhatsApp developing this feature for IOS but it's already enabled for Android platform in latest beta version 2.18.12 that available in Google Play Store. If you are beta testing user of WhatsApp in play store then you can use this feature.

WhatsApp is likely to give group admins more powers where they would be able to restrict all other members from sending text messages, photos, videos, GIFs, documents. The "Restricted Group Setting" can only be activated by administration. Once restricted, other members will have to read their messages and won't be able to respond. They will have to use the “Message Admin” button to post a message. The message will need to be approved by the adminn before going through to the rest of the group.

“We are always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram and make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you.” WhatsApp spokesperson said.

Finally it is the great move by WhatsApp to prevent some spam messages like "Send this message to 10 contacts then you will get freee subscription, free recharges, free vouchers or you will win this and blah blah blah...!"
